Everybody, young and old, needs to become active in order to stay healthy. Increasing your activity levels could have an immediate and positive impact on you and your families’ lives. You’ll find that you feel good about yourself, have more energy, sleep better and cope better with stress and anxiety.
Active Nation is a charity on a mission. They want to persuade the nation to become more active.
Most health guidelines reckon 30 minutes of exercise, five days a week, is enough to significantly improve your health. They say, ‘it all adds up’ – whether you swim for 10 minutes, play table tennis or walk on a treadmill for five minutes. Once you’ve experienced the buzz of getting active, you’ll soon find you’re hitting that recommended 30 minutes.
From September 1st, eight of Southampton’s sports and exercise facilities will be managed by Active Nation working in partnership with Southampton City Council.
Southampton give Active Nation the opportunity to explore brand new ways of getting active! Whether you want to run, jump, swim, sail or climb, they have got it all!
