When completed the Cultural Quarter will boast two theatres, classic and contemporary art galleries, a museum attracting international exhibitions, one of the largest performance venues in the South, regional TV and Radio broadcasting, a state of the art library and city archive and a spectacular outdoor square packed with cafés, restaurants and bars. The council’s initiative and promotion of the Cultural Quarter has helped to attract over £175 million of private and public investment in the area that will in turn attract millions of pounds of visitor spending year on year, keeping the local economy buoyant and creating a city we all can enjoy and be proud of.
